We sometimes overlook the connections that are made without much effort. It can be hard to believe sometimes that with every pedal stroke in a group setting, we connect. Forming friendships and at the same time pursuing other pleasures.
Getting closer to our loved ones: Bicycling is a great activity for family and friends. Get to know your neighbors: Bicycling in your neighborhood is a great way to meet your neighbors and build a sense of community. Make friends: Riding in a group is a great opportunity to meet a nice stranger.
Economic benefits: Cyclists spend over 6 billion dollars every year and with the trickle down effect the overall economic impact to the local economy is a benefit to the community that can't be overlooked.
On the local level there is documented proof that a community that has invested in accommodations for cyclists have not only see a increase cycling traffic but, a increase in dollars spent on local goods and services throughout the community.
